The final couples just ended.
With a performance of the most inspired and moving Jessica Dube and Bryce Davison have easily got their hands on their third national title ... and secure their place in Vancouver.
Anabelle Langlois and Cody Hay had the difficult task of running after Dube / Davison. Performance cautious, a little slow in my opinion, with 2 or 3 minor mistakes on the part of Lee ... but that was more than enough to go over Duhamel / Buntin.
Meagan Duhamel and Craig Buntin delivered a performance with lots of punch and energy. Unfortunately, Buntin fell on the double Axel coast to coast and it cost them dear. They finished 3rd ... a place heartbreaking. We could see the bitter disappointment on the face of Buntin, while awaiting the conclusion of the competition.
Mylène Brodeur and John Mattatall have a free program that fits as a glove. Unfortunately, Mylene fell on a jump side by side (which was also, I believe, be a combo). The rest of the program has suffered a bit.
We could see that Canada has many young couples filled with promise. Paige Lawrence / Rudi Sweigers, Kirsten Moore-Towers/Dylan Moscovitch, Kaleigh Hole / Adam Johnson and Anne-Marie Giroux / Eric Radford have delivered the goods this afternoon.
